Privacy
This page explains what personal information Confluence Research collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 26 October 2026.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address when you subscribe to The Confluence Catch-up.
- Client platform: your email address and firm, and a record of how you use the platform — sign-ins, pages and trackers viewed, time on page and searches.
- Security: your IP address with sign-in attempts, to limit misuse.
Why
To send you the research you asked for, to let approved clients sign in, to keep the platform secure, and to understand which research is useful so we can improve it. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who handles it for us
A small number of service providers store or process it on our behalf: beehiiv (newsletter), Cloudflare (website hosting and the platform's sign-in records) and Resend (sign-in code emails). Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States.
Cookies
Signing in to the platform sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. The newsletter sign-up form uses a cookie to remember that you've already subscribed.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to make a complaint, email [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
